Packet Pick-up and Last Day Registration

Registration and Packet pick-up will be Friday 9 April 2010, 10am – 7pm at FREEDOM SPORTS (1120 Thomas Dr. PCB, FL) Race day Packet pick-up starts at 6:00am and closes at 7:10.

Race Morning

Body Marking & Bike corral will open at 5:30am on 10 April in Spinnaker Beach Club parking lot. Only race participants are allowed in transition (bike corral) area. Timing chips will be given out race morning so get them early to avoid long lines.

Post Race

Join us in Spinnaker for Food, Beverages and presentation of awards. Free for race participants. $12 for spectators and non-racers. Buy your tickets at the door after the race.

Cancellations

For any reason 24 hrs from race day you must contact Freedom Sports for in-store credit. Credit is redeemable with confirmed entry minus T-shirt cost of $15.00. $65.00 – $15.00 = $50.00 towards any purchase at Freedom Sports, 1120 Thomas Dr, Panama City Beach, FL.  We hope this will help you choose white sand triathlon for years to come

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races. »Tri Clinic at Freedom Sports

On March 27, Freedom Sports hosted its first Triathlon Training Clinic. Master Swim instructor, Chuck Bass, provided information on swimming. Professional Triathlete, Helen Libby, and Steve Bauer from The Bike Shop both shared valuable tips on biking, including transitions, rules, and repairs. Helen taught us how to master the “Flying Dismount” and Steve had a tire changing contest. And our very own Marshal McClanahan gave helpful hints about the run portion.  We had a great turnout and a lot of fun!

»Bridge Run

Come join us every Thursday night  behind Taco Bell (Back Beach and Thomas drive)  in the Kmart parking lot for a 3 or 5 mi run over Hathaway Bridge. The group starts gathering at 5:45 pm and we take off at 6 pm.  After the run we hang out and enjoy a few refreshments.
